The animal trend in home decor is still pretty huge. It has moved well beyond the deer of a couple years ago. Now, you can pretty much find any animal represented in home decor, but we are seeing some animals more than others. Hippos, Pigs, Owls, and Rabbits seem to be pretty popular (as well as the Horse, the Chicken and the ever-present Deer...the list goes on). Are you sick of these or do you kind of love a little of it? Here is a small sampling of the items out there.

Those shot glasses are to die for!!

I love the beasties, but I don't think of decorating with animals as the most original idea. Having said that, those shot glasses really are amazing.

I think there is always room for animals and plants in home design but in moderation and with taste:-)

I've always loved decorations with animals. My favorites are deers, squirrels, cats and dogs. I also agree that it should be used in moderation though, otherwise it can look a bit themey.

I agree with Lorrie. Sometimes it does go a little overboard, but I love the idea of bringing images of nature inside, whether it be animals or plants. :)

Has anyone seen a white large porcelain dog anywhere, kinda like the bunny or the hippo here? My landlady wont let us have a dog so I need a fake one!

I like the hippo hook (the hippo face one) not so into the back of the hippo one.

I have a "guard camel" on my bookshelf. It's about a foot tall, and I love it. There's always room for a few animals, but they've got to be tasteful, I think.
