Ovando fashioned two horizontal bars using cut ginger stalks. The Gloriosas are then able to rest on the bars as the stems dangle below into the water. This arrangement also serves to accentuate what is truly beautiful about these flowers; the shape and intense color of the individual petals. The row of blossoms creates a rhythm like the licking flames on a gas grill. And from what I was told by the florist, Hanako, these lilies are also very long-lasting.
