This week's photos were sent in by Monica who describes her flower taste as, "Nothing fancy, as I really like it quite simple". Without a lot of fuss Monica brings flowers into her home, simply, sometimes even digging a few bulbs from outside...

I am sending a shout-out to all of you who bring home flowers to brighten up your home. Do YOU have some Sat. morning flowers to share? Let me know! You can drop me a line and some pics at matt at apartment therapy dot com

Are those onion bulbs in the pot behind the star fish? I love the look.

They seem narcissi 'tete-à-tete'.

2 questions
1) does it still count if instead of buying cut flowers, i choose to buy an indoor plant? some of those can get pricey and i was never much of a flower girl.
2) i LOVE the look of forced bulbs in a home, especially when they first spout. i did paper whites last winter & i was wondering, can you force any bulb for indoors or are there limits?

Ohh thanks for showing my flowers! :-) What a thrill to see my pictures on my favorite blog! :-)
If you like my flowers you could also take a look at my latest posy of Hepatica nobilis on my blog; mandco.typepad.com ;-)
Jonnydesigner : The bulbs in the pot behind the starfish is, as pantzini guessed, narcissi "tete-a-tete" :-)
Mariegael: Some bulbs needs frost to bloom. I keep them out in the garden, and when they start to appear I dig them up and plant them inside ;-) Martha has an excellent article on forcing bulbs : http://www.marthastewart.com/portal/site/mslo/menuitem.3a0656639de62ad593598e10d373a0a0/?vgnextoid=7b5ab8d7b242f010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&autonomy_kw=forcing%20bulbs&rsc=header_1

There is something kind of exotic about Lily-of-the-valley, no matter how simply displayed. That first pic in the teacup makes me very happy, although I love them all.
