Dyson Vacuums

Hoover, Eureka, Miele...who the hell is Dyson and why do I care?1.jpg I keep hearing about these Dyson vacuums - which aren't cheap - and finally did a little research, which was fascinating. James Dyson is a British inventor who did fine until he invented a bagless vacuum that never lost its high suction in the early 90's. Problem was that all the leading manufacturers made most of their money off of selling bags and no one wanted to buy his technology OR let him make his vacuum. After years of manufacturing costs and lawyers' fees protecting his patent, the first vacuum came to market in 1999. The rest is history, and boy does it look good. Dyson sells 4 machines, which range in price from $419 to $519. They not only have great suction, but they also have remarkable tools which allow you to clean animal hair and vacuum under chairs.

We have two large dogs that shed like "banshes" and a 9 month old that crawls everywhere. After years of using the "Electrolux" canister vacuums, the Dyson has proved its worth time and again. We have had the Dyson Animal for 2 months and will never go back. You can pay over $1,000.00 for Electrolux or Miele or $500 for Dyson and get a machine that...
- takes up less space
- offers more suction
- carries the attachments you need on board
- Runs quietly
- no bags to purchase
- pulls dog hair out of heavy traffic area carpet

Bottom line, it takes less time to do a better job for less money! Check out Dyson's website if you are interested, they are honest in their testimonials. They did a great job.

There are no words to describe how amazing this machine is. I have the Animal (purple) and it's worth every single penny. The claims the company makes are understated compared to performance, ease of use, and pleasure. It really shocked me how emotionally attached I became to a vacuum, when previously it was my second most dreaded chore. (Taking out the trash=#1!) My friend's purchase inspired mine, mine inspired my mother's - hers inspired at least 4 of her friends to date. And so on and so on and so on. No one has expressed even a hint of disappointment, in fact, everyone who owns one I've encountered has become a pro Dyson zealot.
