Not only is IKEA infiltrating ICFF, now the furnishings giant will officially launch a collection of furniture for your Sims. When we dabbled in Sims2, our favorite part of the game was designing and furnishing homes for a digital family. The IKEA Home Stuff pack would have been a welcome addition to the available furnishing options...

The thing that is so great about Sims 2 is being able to design homes, layouts. And it will be a lot of fun to do IKEA in the homes.
Now, the next thing I want to see from them, are "Famous Homes".
And, "Modern Interiors" including furniture, sculpture, art, textiles, everything. Things that are significant in terms of design.
They'll be using the real names for the furniture from IKEA. So why not have the real names for the other items.
Sure, half the fun is reading the silly names and descriptions of the created furniture and other items.
But it can become a real design tool. And it's a lot more fun to play with and much easier to work with than anything else I've seen for laying out floor plans or furniture arranging.

If the Sims have to assemble it, maybe they'll get a new skill...frustration! :)
Can't wait to add it to my game.

lol that is hilarious. I remember staying up late at my friends house playing Sims when if first came out. I would never sleep if I played it again now that IKEA furniture is available. What a great idea!

Concluding from the screenshot, that Sims character is stuck in early computer history. My guess is on a 286 with 5.25" floppy and DOS.
Does the stuff in game also get broken or wear off?

An interesting marketing ploy.
