Welcome to Kendra!
I've always admired homes that have art and books and beautiful things casually scattered around, to catch the eye and invite a closer look. This weekend, after envying yet another designer home in yet another design magazine, I took a good look around my own home and realized I've already taken some baby steps towards creating the sort of home I've dreamt of living in. Next, I'm looking forward to the upcoming Spring Cure...
Cheers, Kendra in Boston

Your home has a lot of personality.
This is a very funky little apartment - eclectic and full of interesting items. Love all the elephants but the crystal one is my fave.
I like your place too; I did laugh when I saw the Kendra license plate tho. I know that I am a sucker for anything that has kendra printed on it; I think it is because I used to search for years and years at tourist traps for anything with my name on it, and it was never there. So sad!
that's I'm kendRA too. sheesh!
Your place feels so comfortable and definitely has a lot of personality.
I love those curved purple bookcases - where are they from?
I covet your elephant lamp! Where, oh where, did you find it?!?!?
Kenj,
You should put up pictures of the rest of the house too. You've put up some awesome stuff elsewhere.
Sorry for my delay in answering questions.
Violetsrose: the purple bookcase is actually just a regular unfinished pine bookcase that I painted with a high-gloss purple paint and bolted to the wall. I think the shadows makes it look like it has a curved front, which would be much cooler.
Kiki: the elephant lamp is a prized possession of mine that came several years ago from a random little shop at a now-defunct mall in Lexington, Kentucky. Sorry I can't provide more info...

Thanks, Kendra.
I had a feeling the answer about the lamp would be something (unattainable) like that. But I'm glad you found it in Kentucky. The fondest years of my childhood were spent in Kentucky.
Cheers --
