Welcome to Laura Fayer!

I wanted to submit some images for your artwork month. This is kind of a collaborative project between me and my sister-in-law. I make the paintings but don't have the room to hang them; she has bought several from me over the years and has installed them in her lovely space...

I always try to photograph my paintings hanging in people's homes (whenever possible) as I think that the way paintings are presented on websites make them look flat instead of the beautiful 3-dimensional objects that they are.

Thanks for letting me share., Laura Fayer - www.laurafayer.com

These lovely artworks are beautifully integrated into the spaces.

Someone needs a hammer and nails for their birthday.

Leaning art so close to a nice wall is needlessly distracting.

Hey Laura!
Great stuff!

I love how everything looks; I'm not all that sure those leaning paintings are that big a problem, but I would rather seem them hung up just so they could be viewed better from below, and so they didn't seem to temporary, but I still like the way that looks, in this case.

Beautiful work! Since I only have a budget for small-scale work (hello, Etsy under $30!), it is very nice to see such big, bold pieces in a home.

I imagine it must be very nice for an artist to know the home in which her work will live. Just as it is nice for a collector to know the artist. Sounds like you and your sister-in-law have a terrific symbiotic relationship!
