Welcome to Nick from Long Island City!

greetings A.T., i was just reading your feeds and caught the call for pictures of interiors with artwork.

there i was sitting right in front of one. it's a little hard to explain but the glass panel on the wall is actually a HOLOGRAM; the hologram contains around 10-12 faces of people who have lived with us or do live with us...

Attached are two images, one that shows more detail, but the
other that is darker, is a more real-lighting scenario. the hologram is
best-viewed in a dark room with the spot on it.

ciao,
Nick N.

That is creepy-cool. How was it made?

That is really cool. If you want to share your secrets I would love to create something like this for my own house!

The artist is actually the face you see in the hologram, not I! Her name is Martina Mrongovius. She made us this hologram at the Holocenter (holocenter dot org) in LIC in exchange for one month's rent! She gave me a tour of the facilities once and its a wild place: lasers going every which way, hardware clamped to tables, high voltage electrical equipment! They might offer classes, and they have exhibitions quite often, and are nice people to boot.
