Welcome to Gisela!
Though there isn't a Miami site (though I hope there will be one one day!), I wanted to submit my bedroom for bedroom month.
My boyfriend and I just moved into our new place and we have been working hard to make it cozy. Our vision for our apartment is modern and clean, but homey...

We were lucky to have a wood-vaulted ceiling which gives the room an instant cozy feel. We then settled on our our wall colors. We wanted calming colors so we settled on beige for three walls and aqua to punch up the circular wall surrounding the spiral staircase. Also, aqua is my favorite color and works well since we live in Miami Beach. The furniture and textiles are a combination of Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Crate and Barrel and Michael Weiss, mixed in with Craig's List and Smartbargains.com finds and antiques.
Most of our decor is in place, but we still need to have some of our art frame and placed on the walls.
Thank you! Sincerely, Gisela
very nice your use of color and the total decor makes the room very plush yet usable..welcoming, just wondered how is the shag rug, does it shed a lot how do you maintain it? i.e. keep it clean and fluffy.
Thanks Coco. Yes, the shag rug shed a lot when we initially got it, but it seems to have calmed down. It doesn't help that my dog loves to roll around in it, but at the very least he keeps it fluffy. :) Also, we don't walk on it with shoes so it keeps pretty clean.
