Welcome to Jennie!
Attached are pics of my bedroom. I love it :)
Last year, I moved from a one-room studio apartment (ie: no real "bedroom") to my current 2-bedroom bi-level high rise. Being able to actually retreat to a quiet, uncluttered bedroom at night is the best thing in the world... maybe I just appreciate it more from my lack of a bedroom in my previous living space...

Love it...very very nice, clean, modern
I love it too. Its like the minimal, modern cousin to my bedroom, down to the paintings.
Where are the green lamps from? If only i couldn't see those cords...
Thanks for the kind words.
I got the green lamps from IKEA.....
Zurie - the cords bother me too! :)
The lamps are from Ikea. I have them in white and they glow like little moons.
Lovely bedroom. I especially like the ballet pink. :)
Am I missing something? It looks like the Raddisson in Quincy, Mass.
Your bedroom loooks lovely. I especially like the pink color you used on your bedroom wall. Do you happen to remember the name of the exact color you used? Thanks.
Very nice and warm. Reminds me of a bright day in spring. I like the color of the walls too. It is very soft. Did you do the art work yourself?
It's an established fact that pink is my favorite color. That said, this is a beautiful shade of pink. Your bedroom is beautiful.
The pink wall, paintings and green lamps really work for me. The balance is just perfect. Did you do the paintings?
I live in a studio so I know what it means to miss having a bedroom. When I move to an apartment with a bedroom again, I think I'm going to be stealing your ideas here.
I hope you post the rest of your place. I'd be curious to see it.
Loving the pink and the paintings too!
What pretty Bedroom. I bet you painted those pictures on the wall behind the bed. You must be a designer of some kind. You have loads of talent.Marco is really missing something if he thinks that beautiful room looks like a hotel suite.
Marco nailed it.
Where is your bed from? I really like it.
man, this is so pretty. i adore those paintings.
ok, I am an interior designer and I'm not here to talk sh*t but this room is quite boring and ordinary. The pink wall is nice, in fact, my bedroom walls are also pale pink. the bed, however, has a duvet with no duvet cover? and the squiggly pillows are unnecessary with the squiggly paintings. Carpet? yuck. blinds? yuck. cover up that a/c unit!
thanks for everyone's comments
-the pink on the walls is Ralph Lauren - it is either Tea Rose or Venetian PInk i forget....
-the paintings on the wall are my own
- and i agree that if it were a house i owned, as opposed to an apartment i am renting, that i would invest in changing the carpet, blinds and have central AC...
can't have everything right now...so here's to someday.... :)
love the bed! can i ask where it is from?
Forget the "interior designer". Your room is beautiful.
love the room and i would love to see the perfect and gorgeous rooms of those who come in here to be bitchy. i am sure they are just straight out of a magazine. *rolls eyes*
the pink color is great.
sumi:
the bed is from IKEA - i believe it is from the MALM series. the bedside tables are purchased separate and must be assembled onto the bedframe.
There was a time not long ago when I was frequently invited into bedrooms resembling this one. Looking at this room brings back memories...mmm...those winter nights.
Hope this isn't pervy...
sorry, but this room really depresses me. i feel like i'm in hospice or something.
This looks like a room in a private hospital or a hotel room - ick! - and put a cover on that duvet woman!
I really like what you what have done. The paintings are great!
However, I agree with most of the posts re: the blinds, they are the culprits which make the room look hotelish.
Understandably, as a renter you can't do much about the floor/carpet. But couldn't you remove the blinds and save them for moving out day, and put up a grand window treatment?
I'm thinking ceiling to floor in a neutral color to cover the heating unit.
Good luck!
That would be pretty, with a full window/wall, floor to ceiling window treatment, although I imagine the heating unit is there for a reason, like, cold weather?
Boo - winter.
Jennie, there was one comment that asked about the rest of the apartment, e.g., will we see more of it? It would be very interesting to see how you have introduced the clean, calm and peaceful ambience into other rooms.
