Welcome to Keely!
We moved into our 1910 gingerbread house almost 3 months ago, and the bedroom is the tiniest room in the house, so we've had to manage by making the bedroom only for sleeping, and turning our office into a dressing room...

this arrangement has actually worked out wonderfully, as the bedroom is cozy and only contains our bed and nightstand, while the dressing room has ample space for us to pose in front of the mirror and toss clothes on the daybed.

I drew the tree on the wall, and the two small paintings in the
corner are also my drawings. I am happy to send more photos if
you're interested, and more pics of our house can be found here.

Thanks,
Keely
Paint color in the office, please!
I love your dressing room - that could be an entire New York City apartment! Beautiful colors. And your cat-shaped decorative pillow in the bedroom is very sweet. ;)
I like th elook of this place , reminds me a little bit of Teddy Roosevelt's haouse
Love it! I want to see more pictures (more details too!) but link doesn't seem to work, at least for me...
Where are the pillows on the daybed from? They look fantastic.
Wonderful dressing room. Amazing color - love how you have made the (west elm?) daybed look old world. Great room!!
Oh, look at little Poe on the bed! Nice tree too. You rawk!
Love the tree; nice arrangement overall.
Please fix the broken link to the rest of the photos; I'd like to see more of your house.
i just checked out your blog, keely. the rest of your house is lovely as well! so homey.
Thanks so much for all your comments! Here is the link to more pictures of our house (or else I believe you can click on my name at the top of the post):

Great colors throughout. What are the paint colors for the office/dressing room and the living room?
Gorgeous. I'm collecting non-garish warm colors... paint colors in dressing room and living room please?
I love your house! It's exactly the kind of look that I would love to use in my apartment, but I always chicken out and go more modern. Fabulous guest room!
Love it !! In the old days your dressing room was probably the master bedroom and the tiny bedroom was a sewing room.
Your use of color is great.
I'm a longtime lurker, but Keely, you've inspired me to post--I'm another who wants to know the paint colors in the dressing room and the bedroom, please. I'm about to move and have been dreaming of exactly those colors for my new place!
It's all quite beautiful - the dressing room office is gorgeous in particular - it has such a lovely feel to it. And the tree on the wall is also fantastic. So come on Keely - give up the paint colors already!
the office color is Ralph Lauren "climbing lily", and i'm hunting down the other paint colors, i'll post them as soon as I get them, promise!
Forget the cat - the husband's cuter! :)
Love the colors and I am way jealous of the color of the office. I tried to get a similar color for my livingroom but it does not look as wonderful as yours. Congrats all around!
Keely, I just checked out the photos your blog, and I am crumbling with envy. Everything is so warm. I especially like what you've done with the louvred doors (in the...dining room?)--they're generally a big dislike of mine, but you've made them blend very well.
Was the kitchen like that when you bought the house? So fabulous!
Your house is so special. How on earth did you find it?
What is the name of the camp that your beautiful house is in? I've never seen such a place and would love to know more about it.
Lovely! I'm curious about the windows in the dressing room. Is there a reason why they're different sizes? Only curious. I love to know more about older homes and the reasons for how things were built back then.
Ok, "gingerbread house" has just been added to my dream-home list.
In addition to the amazing house itself, I really appreciate how you've perfected an eclectic look. You've managed to include so many different styles from one room to another, without any of the rooms looking out of place.
PS: Can I move in?
