apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

350 Square Feet Rooftop Cottage in NYC
The New York Times

7-9-nyc-cottage.jpg

The New York Times features the cottage-like apartment of Mary Biosic — the less than 350 square feet studio sits on top of a building in the West Village and is filled with natural light. A dream apartment, so don't miss it!

The light alone is reason enough to downsize to 350 square feet — even the sleeping loft is cool.

Read the story and see all the pictures in The New York Times: The Bohemian Dream, in 350 Square Feet

I love it, except for the loft bed. I had a loft bed in my old apartment (10 years). It was always hot up there. I mean, there was something cozy about it, too. But when I moved to my new place and bought my first bed I realized that falling asleep and waking up in a open space is a much more comfortable experience. I love waking up looking at my bright, white, high ceiling.

Simply wonderful. I want to see more pictures and details though. I'd love AT to do a house tour.

Meh. Looks cute, but after a brutal winter anyone would hate it.
