One of the most striking features of the 15,000 square feet of space that artists Dustin Yellin and Charlotte Kidd transformed in Red Hook, Brooklyn is the 1952 Airstream trailer that sits inside and acts as a guest room, interior sculpture and conversation starter. The home, gallery, and studio space is a highlight of New York Magazine's Interior issue ...
It took 2 years of work to transform the raw space (and lots of dumpsters) but the double height kitchen, exposed brick and massive amounts of space seem very worth it!

I love the trailer. When we moved into our loft, we thought about buying a garden shed to make a "guest room." The problem was, it wouldn't be able to fit in the elevator.
I wonder how they got the Airstream in there? Maybe there was an industrial elevator in the building?

Wow - Cool place...
...but so sad that they used the NYM article to air their dirty laundry.
