Dominique Camacho and Gary Hirschkron transformed a developer's renovation of a former synagogue into an airy, modern triplex with the help of Manifold Architecture Studio of Brooklyn. Ms. Camacho is the owner of Sustainable NYC, an eco-friendly store on Avenue A, and green building materials like non-toxic MDF and low VOC paints were used in the renovation.

No curtains and glass walls in the bathroom? Interesting choice.

It's beautiful, but 1600 sq ft for one bedroom in NYC (or anywhere really...)? And they can only bath in full view of the neighbors? Wha? Guess they don't want any overnight guests.
