Because it's warming up fast and pretty soon everyone will want to run away from the city and lay out on a lounger with a good pulpy novel, we thought we'd point out that Moby is selling his house for a cool $3.5m. But darn, it looks nice. It's got everything, including Mid-C Modern furniture and nice big restaurant stoves. And, of course, the website has a soundtrack.
Check out all the photos of the "highest residence in Putnam County." (Thanks, Bradford! Via Queerty)

"...lay out on a lounger..."
Lie out on a lounger!
What a spectacular setting! But the house is shockingly mundane -- seems to be an Acorn or some other kit house.
Do love the couch and matching 2 chairs, though...
Beautiful... but kind of scary and empty too! Doesn't look like anybody has ever set foot in the place...
Holy crap! What a beautiful property. Can someone float me $3.5mil? No, really... Please?
This house was on mtv cribs once, it was sweeeeeet.
If only!
For now I'll sigh longingly and go back to my un-fabulous drudgery.
I too saw this house on cribs, and I was shocked by all the Herman Miller stuff in there. And, one of his bathrooms has no mirror, just because he never put one up. He seems to have a lot of Nelson stuff, which is always fine by me.
Using Flash is obnoxious.
On the other hand, I'm not the target market. Which presumably has more time to waste looking at slow-to-load images.
Call me bitter ... :-)
With all that money, space, and time, he couldn't decorate the tree any nicer??? I don't get it, and its not because I'm Jewish.
BTW, what's wth the stainless steel restaurant sink in the bathroom???
I agree with LittleDebbie. This place feels like a Stepford House. You can almost hear it echoing with expensive sterility. Did Moby even set foot here? Did he have the least relationship with this impersonal fabulation?
Moral of the story: all the Herman Miller money can buy...
I read an article about this house and about Moby. (Can't remember which magazine.) He's a minimalist kind of guy. That's his thing. Plus, he said the real focus was the views.
I think it's a gorgeous house. Not everything is my taste, but I think it's nice. Too bad I don't have $3.5 million to spend on a Hudson Valley getaway...
