We only feature International Real Estate listings from The New York Times when they truly blow us away...this penthouse apartment in Montreal fits the bill. Located in the Paper Mill District, the windows alone are worthy of a post...

This is a stunning space. That district in Montreal has so many beautiful old buildings I wonder if there are more loft spaces maybe less polished for less. This is my ideal loft space. Great city, just those horribly cold winters.

There really is not a paper mill district in Montreal. This is more the tail edge of the old city, closer to downtown. It's pretty grungy. Great space, but not the best location.

It must feel like a maze, walking through all that stuff.

I fail to see the 'modern' in this, and even though it's an old warehouse space, they've been pretty effective in eradicating any traces of 'industrial' too.

(the windows ARE nice, but it needs to be gutted)

Geez, you could have chariot races in that place! That luxurious amount of space is almost non-existent (at any price) in New York - too bad the current owners have no sense of scale in decor.

Is it just me or does it look like a furniture store?
