Fashion designer Jason Wu received a lot of media attention when Michelle Obama wore his dress design for the Inaugural Ball. Now his gray-on-gray palette apartment is getting attention as part of New York Magazine's Home Design issue...

A modest apartment for a young designer with his own business, Wu kept it simple with a monochromatic color palette with a few isolated pops of intense color. The sectional is from Bo Concept and the bedroom's wallpaper is from Harlequin in London.

I like this apartment for what it is. Wu's personality seems to shine through the coldness of the grey and the splashes of color really work.

I prepared this post yesterday, and now that it is published, I keep coming back to look at that amazing blend of grays in the living room photo!

Gorgeous. Grey can be so quietly sophisticated without being cold. Very nice.

Too gray for me, but I like his shoe collection.

AMAZING! Love the shock of the blue in the painting against the gray.

That shade of gray used on the living room wall has been noted. I love the way any saturated color will POP off of it. Especially with cool tones. Love that gray.

I have zero sense of the space from the pictures or the article. All of the images are detail vignettes. I am guessing the totality of the apartment is not that great or they would have shown that instead of his shoe collection.
But I do love gray and I do like that gray wall.

I love strong grey walls, but think this one is more successful and stunning, from a current AT Curer:

I find Jason Wu's too lavender, at least on my screen.
