I'm a big fan of the metal exterior — metal panels can be manipulated for privacy and the top level has a screen of aluminum fins that let light and air pass through but retain a level of privacy.

It's a beautiful place, although very minimalist. What bothers me is pictures 3 and 5 here and one of the pictures on the architect's website shows the garage door on the front of the house with the sidewalk gate offset from it. I'd like to know why the gate wasn't aligned with the garage door especially since the house is new construction. It's an incredible pain to bring a 6-900 pound bike in and out of storage through an obstacle course.
