Now, after her husband's resignation, the state home in Albany is home to Governor Patterson and his family. The Victorian home, built in 1856, has been updated and added-onto a lot. Currently, it occupies 29,500-square-feet and features two pools, a tennis court and has a staff of a dozen.
"She (Michelle Paige Patterson) has continued Mrs. Spitzer’s project of "greening the mansion" — by using organic cleaners, serving mostly locally grown foods and installing energy-efficient appliances and solar panels on outbuildings, which are meant to help cut energy use by 50 percent..."

the exterior of this house is lovely; like a dream house. I wouldn't want to deal with the upkeep or the heating bills though, green or not!
