The New York Times shows us the Hudson Valley weekend home of architectural photographer Peter Aaron and his wife, Brooke Allen. The family recently completed a kitchen renovation in their 1858 Italianate house...
Peter Aaron is used to photographing over-the-top high end buildings and homes of the world's starchitects and clients, but he had to approach his own home design with a much more reasonable budget (though he admits it was difficult and he still spent too much!)

i think the family picture was 'posed', you know, staged to create a an artistic look - look the old family portrait oil paintings by the masters. but yeah, unfortunate
