This recently completed airy family home on the west coast of Norway features a unique stairway made from a single sheet of 1-centimeter-thick steel. The stairs were galvanized with white sand corn making them slip resistant and the whole thing had to be lifted in with a crane through a skylight.
The home was designed by Todd Saunders of Saunders Architecture and features very thick interior walls (60cm - 70cm deep) that were requested by the owner to hide lots of built-in and recessed storage. Also, none of the electrical outlets are visible and the home's technology systems are all controlled from a central control panel in the extra-long kitchen.
I am also fond of the two exterior staircases!

I'm usually not one for such austere, modern design, but that place/space is amazing. Wow.

This looks a lot like the Playboy office that used to be on Fifth Ave...without all the bling, of course.

Anyone knows what that rug is on the 3rd photo or where to find a similar one? :)

I've been loving these rugs for quite some time:

They also have petals, basically circles in various colors. They're pricey!

In the third photo, does anyone know where to find the egg shaped pouff (or one like it)?
