We think this makes for some interesting reading: We just heard from the folks at TREGNY (The Real Estate Group of New York). They are a NYC firm that realeases a monthy report of average prices for rental apartment currently available in Manhattan.

Mean rental prices for studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments are listed in the report.

Other firms report only quarterly and list only the apartments with which they were involved. So, this is an invaluable, up-to-the-month reference to rental prices in Manhattan. We're looking forward to checking back here on a monthly basis. (thanks, Daniel)

This is incredible! I am moving to New York City for the first time and have found this report extremely informative and helpful. There is an enormous amount of info on Manhattan living and the process of renting an apartment there. I highly recommend visiting The Real Estate Group's site (http://www.tregny.com/) before moving to New York City!
