American actors Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry have created a comfortable escape in Umbria, Italy. The New York Times shows us the couple's renovated 350-year-old stone house in Umbria, Italy where a recent renovation helps bridge the gap between an old traditional home and contemporary living...

By using local materials that were also used in the original structure, the transition from old to new is nearly flawless. Locally made terracotta tiles for the roof and floors, local chestnut wood frames and shutters the windows and the exterior stone comes from the local San Terenziano quarry. I looked at the slide show, and except for the bedroom, I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with the interior design, although the house itself is amazing. And who wouldn't want to live in such a beautiful location.

These people have always been one of my favorite celeb couples. And the house looks like normal people live there, which is a refreshing change from the normal glitz of celebrity homes. But it is indeed beautiful and glamourous . . . and rustic.
I loved them as Stuart and Ann on LA Law.

Man, these two have exquisite taste when it comes to location. I was watching a documentary about Emile Norman and these two bought some of his outrageously beautiful land in Big Sur years ago.
"L.A. Law" must have been sending the Brinks truck to their agency in the late-80s/early-90s!
