Excellent use of the bamboo rug. It reallys ties the area together. Oh, and your sofa is beautiful, of course.

This is a little too bare-looking for my liking. Though the bamboo, lounge and colour scheme etc go together, it looks unfinished. Needs a lot more to soften up the place and covering the hardness of the straight, sharp lines. For one I would have a much larger picture up on wall above the lounge but would then eventually need to place other things elsewhere in room to balance it out and create more softness about the area. Nice colours. How about a nice taller statue somewhere (maybe left far corner)? Why not section off the centre part of wall exactly where lounge is currently located with either a fancy wallpaper (or plain if that suits your taste). I may steer away from having a wallpapaer/paint/textured vinyl that matches too closely to the bamboo rug since it may create an illusion of the wall and rug flowing together as one. Add another cushion or two that matches the current lampshade you have as well. That nice vase you have in the corner with the fancy pieces in it I'd personally move to this side of the lounge. (There's my 2 cents worth of thoughts.)
