Roundup: Bone Inlay Furniture

Bone inlay furniture is so exotic looking and one cannot deny the craftsmanship that is involved. If the idea of actual bone bothers you, a very similar look and same technique of craft is furniture with mother-of-pearl inlay instead.

That silvery green wall color really sets the furniture off in the first pic. Is that wallpaper or a special paint finish?

Thank you for this post. I've been madly in love with MOP inlay since I saw them on the G&G website.

The Graham and Greene pieces (or some of them) seem to be available at ABC Carpet and Home.

That first pic is just amazing, it really fires the imagination. Here's a post about where to find inlay pieces in Toronto: http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2008/10/highlow-moorish-style-for-every-budget/

I currently have a wooden Moroccan-ish looking nightstand (styled like this, only no color http://www.moroccancaravan.com/images/products/1010.jpg) that I'm painting to look like bone inlay...

Needless to say, I should be done in about 5 years given the rate that it's going, but I think it should be worth it!!

I, like fengshuibyfishgirl, also want to know what the paint color is in the first picture. It's beautiful! Is there any chance of finding out?
