Good Flor news from the front...
Reader C.K. Sample III writes in: "I recently made an area carpet rug from Interface's Flor after discovering them on your site. Here's a link to some very crappy pictures of the end result, taken with my cellphone so all the colors are off a bit." Mad props to C.K. for trying new things in his home -- and with his telephone. And, what's the verdict? "We're planning on using Flor to replace the bedroom carpet this summer now that we've set this up and like it so much." Great news. OHR

I also considered Flor, but my only concern was the texture - it seemed (from the catalog, anyway) that even the more expensive ones are very "office"-y. Not sure it's worth going down to actually feel a sample.
They have a wide variety of textures. You can order samples from them for $5 per every 8 little squares, and then if you buy over $199 worth, they'll refund you $15 on the samples. Unfortunately, the 'rug' I ordered only weighed in at around $175.
You can order samples of flor from www.dwr.com for free.
