NY Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Rug?

6.24rug.jpgDear AT,

I saw this rug in a magazine and fell madly in love with it.

Does anyone know where I can find this rug or similar?

We're redoing our living room/dinning room with a brown/blue theme....

Thanks! Pghjezebel

I thought I already posted this, but it's not showing up, so sorry if this is a duplicate. It's by Company C. They have many other beautiful rugs as well.

Eeek! 1,860.00 for a 8X11? Thats more than we paid to have the living room AND dining room redone.

*sigh* I still want it. lol

Thank you for finding it! If anyone sees something with the same color scheme (brown and blues) let me know.

It's an absolutely gorgeous carpet.

Target used to sell one with a very similar design/color scheme -- I think it was $99 for a 5x8. Someone in the last color contest (I think) had it in her bedroom.

Not exact but certainly less than $1860:

That is a Company C rug. I have the pattern "Mandarin Wasabi" and can report that it is beautiful, durable, thick, soft, and did I say beautiful? I love it.

$1860 really isn't that much for a handmade 8x11 wool rug that will last for decades.

Here's one from PB that has a blue/brown theme - it is on back order though. http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p9974/index.cfm?pkey=cprwrugwoo
or maybe this - http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p9976/index.cfm?pkey=cprwrugwoo

These ones fit your blue/brown colour choice, and are beautiful.

But they're New Zealand wool, and like the Company C ones, run to four figures ... $1,400 for the 8x10.5.

I'm with bepsf ~ money on a great rug is money well spent.

It's stunning. Worth every penny. I have a Rug Company rug that I waited and waited for it to go on sale, and when it did, I snapped it up. Maybe you can do the same?

We have this rug in 8x11 in the Wasabi color (brown and green). It was a big splurge for us but it has been worth it for what it has done for our living room. We looked at buying it at a few different places and found that Jordan's Furniture in the Boston area sells it for $1699 with free shipping/delivery and 12 months no interest financing. That was how we managed to afford it! Also, Sierra Trading Post website online has a pretty good selection of other Company C rugs. Company C itself has a great outlet store in Concord, NH.

Check around, do lots of searches and keep on searching. Sometimes you can get these things for reduced prices. These rugs are not the same design, but same company, and they are quite reduced:

Check for offers too, like free shipping or a discount, this one has both:

That rug has been around for several years. It's still a good seller.

P.S. Here's info on what "Rugmark" means, and a view of a colorway they don't have anymore:

Green on blue above.

Here, your rug is $1,800:

Sachi Poppy isn't around anymore either (orange on red):

This is a different pattern, obviously, but comes in a wedgewood blue and brown combination, at Target, in wool with the 8' x 10'6" rug costing $799.99. Free shipping.

There is a discount if you are a member of AAA. I am a member of CSAA, and through their site, I go to discounts, then retail, then click on Target and the Target window opens from there. So I could get 10% off that price ordering online. So can you, if you are a member.

This might have been posted already, I haven't looked at all the links, but what about this as a more affordable alternative?

I bought the, ahem, budget version of this rug on the cheap - with kids and pets and only a fleeting allegiance to any particular color scheme, I wasn't prepared to splurge on the real deal. Even though it's synthetic (egads!) I really like it - it's held up great for the past couple of yrs.

It's a Balta rug, and here's where to buy it - 8 x 11 for $423!

Here's a photo of it in my living room.

Sidebar: If I were buying a rug today, I'd buy this one or this one instead. So pretty!

Thank you all for posting such wonderful and helpful suggestions!

@ tequila red - THANK YOU! lol
Not only do I love your living room (which looks so similar to my own living room, it was a bit scary...) but I ended buying the Balta rug you suggested. Caught a good deal and got it for 300.00 even, free shipping. Woo!

Thanks again!
