This just in. Mark your calendars as one of our readers has generously tipped us off that Alpha Workshops, where she works, is having a sale next week.
Alpha Workshops, an organization that gives talented people living with HIV a place to work - with energy, pride, and integrity, is throwing open its studio doors to the public for its annual Alphaware sale.
On sale will be reverse-painted glass plates ($45-$100), encised and hand-painted wooden serving platters ($90-$120), decorated boxes ($24-$45) and votives wrapped with chain ($15).
Also available are greeting cards in two sizes, made with samples of Alpha's own collection of hand-painted wallpaper (large $3.50 each, small $ for 6) as well as hand-painted wrapping paper ($ per sheet). (Thanks, Ruth!) MGR
