We've finally finished the slideshow! While not the most scintillating of slideshows, if you hit your right arrow and watch the day unfold, you'll get the great vibe. This is all from our 2006 Broadway Walk (see links to past walks too). In world record time, 13 out of the 20 of us reached the Battery to see the sunset at 4pm last Sunday.

I'll be there in spirit. Have a great time.
I'm there in spirit, guys! I got knocked out by godawful neck and shoulder pain this week and am so bummed about missing the walk. Enjoy the beautiful day and take loads of pictures!
Sounds like a good time...my day = not so good. One of my kittens is at the animal hospital and there's a good chance he's not coming home. So all you cat lovers out there, say a little prayer for Joey for me.
Sounds like a great time. We need a Boston walk!
Kim, my thoughts are with you and Joey. As a animal lover, I know these times can be so difficult.
Dawn Marie
I was under the weather this morning and had to miss the walk. Looking forward to next time!
Kim, I've been there and done that, so my heart goes out to you today.
Ahh you guys - I picture just for me. I'm so flattered! I would have joined you but had an appt. with a client this afternoon. I'm doing it next year !!
You guys are so cute!
It's easy to say now... but next year should really be the year for same-day walks in each major city that has a few AT-ers, doing whatever hike best captures the spirit of the city.
Sorry I missed it this year; I enjoyed last year. I was out of town this time.
I planned to go, but just couldn't get out of bed. Not sure I can keep up that pace what with the 'Paris knee' and all. If anyone wants to try it before next year, call me.
I know this is totally of topic, but... Who is that super cute guy wearing the brown sweatshirt and black jacket? OMG!
It was a lot of fun!
You should all join in next year!
Just wanted to thank DawnMarie and Melinda for their kind words. I had to have Joey put down Monday night. Was heartbreaking - he was only 6 months old.
My earlier post seems weird. There was a photo on the flickr site that they took and labeled it "for anne". And only because I called and asked them to post a photo of the group and not so many of street signs.
kiminottowa,
From both Maxwell and I, who have had pets in our lives that we've lost, we send our very best wishes to you and to Joey on his journey to the next place. Hopefully when he gets there, my Beagle, Rosie, will show him the ropes, and probably a few bad tricks too.
Thank you Sara Kate (and Maxwell)....that's really sweet of you to post that. I'm getting teary. I'm sure little Joey is there with the other cats we've lost and your Rosie, bugging the crap out of them all and wanting his belly scratched.
kiminottowa,
I am so sorry for your loss. I've gone thru it before and there really are no words that help in this situation. At least Joey had a great 6 months of love. My heart goes out to you. When the time is right I hope you go to a shelter and pick out another loving little angel.
Thanks Anne. Luckily I have 4 other cats, including joey's sister, to keep my mind off of what we went through. See my name for pics. If my bf and I do decide to get another (ya, we're crazy), I would definitively go to the shelter.
Your cats are so gorgeous and all so different! I'm so sorry to hear about Joey. Losing a companion animal is so very hard. I just lost my very old cat earlier this year and was with her at the end. That's very sweet what SK said and I second that - they're all kicking it up in their very healthiest bodies in another place right this very moment.
