Had lunch and went shopping. Walking by Calypso Home yesterday after drinking too much Coca-Cola, we tripped into their sale and walked out with four huge bags of beautiful pillows for a fraction of what we would have paid normally. We forgot it in our Sales Calendar yesterday, and it deserves special mention.
This sale runs through the weekend and dramatically cuts the prices on pillows, throws and textiles. Pillow that were $170 are now $30 and many others start at 50% off retail. Coverlets that were @ $500 are now @ $250. All that you see in the pic - 8 pillows (including one large body pillow) - cost us $465. Yes, we still spent a bunch, but we do this only about once a year....and we love it.
What makes a pillow worth $170?
What makes a pair of shoes worth $500?
Look at all of those pillows! 8 gorgeous pillows for $465 is definitely worth the once-yearly pillow splurge. Party on Maxwell's couch this weekend!
And P(too), excellent point (says my Choos).
What makes an 850 sq ft apartment worth $2.5 mil?

My guess is Location, Location and lots of $170 pillows.
Goddammit, pillows are my weakness. Now I have to head over there and I need a pillow like I need a sharp stick to the knee.
#%$^&@!!!! Yesterday was my birthday and I was going to go there, but I woke up terribly ill and stayed home all day.
I guess Maxwell now has to get rid of eight old, tired-looking pillows to allow room for the new ones.
Lady J -
Happy Belated! Hope you feel better soon so you can scoop up some b-day pillows!
Danke kate. I did go over this evening. Nice store. I didn't feel compelled to buy, but it is great to have a look at some fresh global color schemes. Lovely bedspreads.
