Sale Alert: Hot Items at Rico

Right now, over at Rico on Atlantic Avenue, they are dropping prices on some beautiful stuff. We just bought a sofa for client there last weekend.

The Modern Addiction sofa was designed by Milo Baughman (here pictured as a sectional) comes in a 78" wide sofa configuration and is selling for $1990 with grades 2-4 fabrics. The manufacturer is Thayer Coggin.

The Design Classics sofa (also by Milo Baughman and Thayer Coggin) is a slight variation on the theme, comes in 86" wide, and is also selling for $1990 in grades 2-4 fabric.

The elegant Nina collection, Rico's own design, is priced low anyway, but for this promotion they are dropping the price on the Nina Pendant (was $425, is now $325) and the Nina Flush Ceiling Mount fixtures (was $375, is now $275). If your in the market for a sofa, we say run, don't walk.

Finally, the Gourd Collection by Robert Abbey is priced to move. On store stock items, the 31" gourd lamps are going for $129 (was $175) and the 22 3/4" gourds are going for $90 (was $137).

These will help feed my current sofa obsession - last Sunday, I blew the entire afternoon on furniture store visits to see if I could track down the elusive perfect sofa.

Anne -- its probably the same lamp. Robert Abbey sells its lamps to all the big chains. My Restoration Hardware AND Crate & Barrel lamps are both Robert Abbeys.

Wonderful. I adore the Design Classics sofa.

I wish I had that. Are you listening, Santa?

I bought that sofa last week. I wanted to find a modern sofa with metal legs that looked similar to this http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=102&f=2073 but with higher quality and a choice of fabrics. Most of the other ones I found were too 50s-ish, or cost $5000+.

Oy, I wish I needed a sofa (instead of needing to reupholster the one I have...)

Re: Robert Abbey. He also sells (or at least used to sell) his stained glass Mission-style lamps at Target. This was when I worked for Resto about 4 years ago... the same style lamps were available at Resto as Target except the Target lamps were all made in Mexico.
