If anyone goes by ABC Dumbo, could you give us a report?
I've found their warehouse in the Bronx not to be worth the trouble the 2 times I've gone -- everything is pretty cracked and battered, except for the rugs.
the Paul McCobb table link is screwed up... Links to AAF site... Can you fix it?
Done. thx, Paul.
Went to ABC -DUMBO yesterday...
I've only been there one time before so I don't have a lot to compare the sale to... very little in the non-furniture/rug area. though a few really nice glass table lamps for $20. if you have a king size bed you'll find quite the selection of mauve embroidered sheets/shams/quilts/duvet covers. most at least 30% off their already marked down price.
the sale is becoming evident already in that area... everything on its way to a huge mess, big empty areas of sale debris.
--if you are in the market for a chair you should be on your way. most had markdowns dated 11/1 and were at least 50% off the previous price. and seemed like things people would actually want to buy. a fair selection of sofas as well, most on the big side though (that was what I was looking for, found the perfect size and shape, it was just ugly... should I buy the perfect ugly sofa? is recovering a big hassle I won't bother with?)
--if you are looking for a rug it seemed the best selection and discount was there. granted a 75% discount there can still mean $1000, so I'm really excited for someone, just not me.
