Has anyone ever been to the Ligne Roset warehouse sale before? Is it worth going if your budget for a couch is around 2K?
No it is not worth going to for a sofa around 2k. Try Natuzzi though.... if you like there stuff! I was just there and was amazed at some of the prices of there sofa's and floor samples.
How is the DWR warehouse sale??? Any bargain?
I went to the Ligne Roset warehouse sale, it was a giant waste.
The warehouse was buried down among obscure streets in the South Bronx near the intersection of the Bronx River Parkway and the Cross Bronx Expressway, literally against the Northeast Corridor tracks, (we saw an Acela pass by) Even with instructions, the place was incredibly daunting to locate, due to lots of dead ends and streets that literally went in every direction but up. The worst part was when we arrived Sunday morning all the furniture and furnishings appeared to be damaged in some way shape or form, accompanied by insultingly high so called sale prices.
Some samples, an 11'6"x8'x24" wall unit for $8999 and a queen sized bed for $3999. Everything was as-is and all sales final. I could have probably gotten better and less insulting prices shopping at one of the individual showrooms' sales. I was so disgusted, I left. If it hadn't have been for ABC Carpet and Home's outlet being nearby, and the fortunance of having a good sense of direction. the trek would have been a total loss. Frankly, I really lost respect for this company.

John, I actaully did make it to Ligne Roset warehouse Saturday around 11, and I suspect there was a bigger selection then. There actually a couch or two around the 2k mark, but many more in crazy colors at crazier prices -- but I wasn't very supprized.

Actually there was a large selection of things when I got there Sunday, but given the prices I would not call it a sale by any means. I think the most irritating item was the $9000 wall unit. Had it been reasonably priced, given its condition, etc., I would have bought it.
