It's Friday, so it's time to see the new tasty treats online at 1st Dibs.
First, from NoHo Modern, let us introduce you to the sexiest chair we've seen in a while: The 1960's teak and Leather Chieftain chair by Finn Juhl for Baker ($6,500). Hubba-hubba.
Also, this cantilevered Walnut Credenza by Glenn of California, is stunning.
The price is availible through the dealer (The glorious Orange on Beverly), so you know it aint cheap, but to see all of its stunning detail proves that the line between art and furniture can sometimes be blurred.

Maybe it's because I've been eating salad a lot more lately, but this chair looks delicious in kind of a leafy way.
Or a kind of grasshopperish way, depending on your appetite.
Not for $6,500, though! $650 tops.
Beautiful and waaaaay overpriced. One thing you should realize is that the shops that sell on 1stdibs.com mark up extravagantly to cover not only their very high store rents but also high 1stdibs listing fees. But hey, that's biz...especially here in New York.
Same chair sold last year at toomey gallery in Chicago, may 23, lot 917, for $7000. You can't find new for less than $4500 on line. An original recently sold for over $18,000. It's a great chair, I'd rather buy a new one in my color choice for $4500 though.
CHAIR IS AMONG THE BEST OF ITS TYPE... A STRONG JUHL SIGNATURE STATEMENT.IF YOU JUST NEED A PLACE JUST TO SIT BUY A FOLDING CHAIR AT WALLMART...
Big thank
I know that 1stdbis.com does NOT charge high listing fees. In fact they don't charge listing fees. There is simply a monthly fee charged. The comment above by Roderick is incorrect. I'm not sure where this guy gets his info.
i think alexei works for 1stdibs.
don`t know where alexei works but he`s correct - there is a very basic monthly charge by 1`st dibs to cover photography - and I don`t work for 1st dibs - they work for me
interesting. i'm glad they work for you. good to know.
make them work harder and get you on the first page on wednesdays.
