NY Scavenger: Genuine Persian Carpet for $650

at482d0082de4b25.01239118.jpgSo, although we have been forewarned by Mary Beth in Union Square that her genuine Persian carpet will not whisk us away to far-off lands (a fact I'm totally bummed about), this would still be a beautiful carpet to have in your home.

She also knocked $50 off for AT readers!

I don't believe this is a Persian carpet.

It looks like a copy of a Persian Heriz rug made in India in the 1980s.

Were this a real Heriz carpet, it would be worth on average around $4000 in this size.

Still, Indian carpets are well made, and colorfast. It's worth every bit of the asking price in my opinion but just know it is Indian made, not Iranian, at least judging from the pictures.

That's why the price is so low.

Seeing the knots would tell for sure...
