NY Scavenger: Keep Calm And Carry On Navy Print for $30

1-24-keep-calm.jpgWe love this print (and we don't often recommend even buying prints!). Tiffany of the West Village is preparing for Valentine's Day by selling her Keep Calm And Carry On Navy Print at a wholesale price. Rather than display her cool sense of logic and fortitude on her walls, she's jettisoning that approach and opting instead for Green Absinthe Devil, followed by long, red taper candles and high, high heels.... (just kidding).

Or, approximately $10, including shipping, from the people who first found this old poster and reprinted it. Sheesh.

I must have seen this print in dozens of apartments online. In some cases, people have the most unique and wonderfully idiosyncratic home filled with one of a kind objects and furniture, then suddenly you spot the omnipresent print.

I think it had it's moment, and should be retired for another few decades.

I love these, but....if I see them any more, I may scream.

Sorry, but they've jumped the shark. Not everyone needs the same poster.

I have a red KCACO poster in my loft and I love it still. I bought it because I liked its style and tone, not simply to follow a trend. There is a reason why it bacame so popular so fast: it's just great poster art.

So while it may have "jumped the shark" with people who feel the need to have the latest, hippest, rarest things in their homes, I for one will still enjoy it for its many qualities. Good design is just that: good design.
