Luxe Redux. In a recent issue of Blueprint, they explored reusing inexpensive foldable camp cots as coffee tables. We're big fans of Bottega Veneta's creative director Tomas Maier but this cot is $10,800! We're holding out for the Faux-tega version. Somewhere between Blueprint's $25 army cot and the beautiful woven leather.

I won't be putting a cup of tea on a folding cot anytime soon.

Especially a $10,800 cot! This is definitely one to put into my WTF book, iconic leather weave or not.

Darn I've been looking for a cot for months to use as a coffee table(I fell in love with the one from Hable Construction but even that one was too pricey) So much for being original.

In the Blueprint feature they use painted baking sheets/trays to add stability...it is rather attractive.

somehow, painted baking trays fail to convince me that a $10,000 cot is a good idea, especially as a coffee table. attractive it isn't.

This seems like a fussy idea for a coffee table, where you have to put something on top to stabilize your coffee. Personally, I like something that I can stand on while the coffee won't tip over. I know that rules out a lot of actual coffee tables too, but I love tough furniture.
