Furniture doesn't grow on trees, but Dr. Christopher Cattle's Grow Stools do sprout directly from the earth. Desiring to create a stool that saves energy in manufacturing, Dr. Cattle developed a template for growing stools in their final form. The three-legged stool bases are grown and a top is simply added after "harvesting". The result is a truly organic piece of furniture. - Regina

What will they think of next? Can someone grow me a bed? I'm in need of a goodlooking one...
I'll just about bet you that that guy could just measure the distance needed between the legs of the bed-frame and do something similar, right?
Anyway... I think it's an ingenious idea, except I'm not that crazy about the perinkle paint on it.
So what's the lead time on ordering something like that... 15 years?
yeah, the paint "kills" it for me too. I tried to figure out what's going on with the paint, like why? But the website doesn't give any tech details on the structure of these otherwise fabulous things.
wouild love to know more ...
Does he use rooting hormone to save the branches and keep his crop going?
Can something like this ever be more than a novelty?
Definitely an interesting idea.
I agree, the paint in just that one spot kind of puts a damper on the whole organic nature of the thing. And might make you think it is glued rather than ingeniously grown.
Probably the use topiary techniques and a fast growing tree.
