Thos. Moser High Stool

Designed like a tractor seat. We were looking for nice, comfortable stools for our client and didn't want to go with the usual fare, when we came across Thos. Moser's High Stools. Hand made out of cherry and ash, these are super comfortable and modern in their utilitarian design inspiration...

A word of caution. These are not cheap and will set you back $850-$950, but they will last a lifetime. We also really like the idea of getting more wood into a bar or kitchen area. Typical solutions currently run with metal and leather - like the LEM piston stool - and we find these refreshingly surprising. (Thos. Moser's High Stools)

There are even nicer models of this design at Cisco on the 5th floor of ABC Carpet & Home. There are only two stools. They are on sale for $299 a piece. The seat is the same, but instead of wooden legs they are on a steel base with a little rod to rest your feet. I am in love with them, but they don't work in my kitchen.

Johnp, they'll last until we tire of things designed with a modern and utilitarian inspiration. :)

I own two of the Moser stools and I love them. They are works of art........very solid and wonderfully comfortable. IMHO, when it comes to stools you get what you pay for.
