Emeco Morgans Chair by Andrée Putman

French designer Andrée Putman worked with Ian Schrager back in 1984 to redesign Manhattan's Morgans Hotel. In her design, she used Robert Mallet-Stevens' iconic steel chair from 1928. Now, Putman has created the Morgans Chair by marrying the Mallet-Stevens design with Emeco's classic 1006 Navy chair...

Andrée Putman's goal was to design a timeless classic and we love the simple luxury of this design.

The Morgans Chair is available in a brushed or polished finish as well as gloss white and matte black powder coat. Emeco also takes special orders for powder-coated chairs in the color of your choice! Special heights are also available. Price per chair ranges from $670 - $1,335, depending on finish.

Classic. Best thing she's done since the Concorde interior.

I have seen it and it is lovely in the right interior otherwise too cold for us regular folks. I do adore her early work, heard her speak once back when Philip Stark was her worker bee.
