Vee like zee French chairz, but they are usually VERY expensive. Real French bistro chairs made by companies like Poitoux or by Maison Gatti out of rattan and rilsan (a natural polymer) can go for $700 a chair. Rollhaus on Grand Street has a great low cost alternative: they look the same and are super sturdy commercial quality.

Yay! Looks like they might have chinese chippendale style chairs too (there's one pictured on the front page). Yay!
Correction: Poitoux uses nylon not Rilsan.Only Rilsan will stand up to heavy use and direct UV light. I've used both commercially.
It is like when you want to buy a good watch, do you go to chinatown????? These chairs are really crappy, they do not last.
$ 99 it is not a good deal, it is like to fling $ 99 in the garbage
Does anyone know of resource for more affordable metal/folding bistro chairs and furniture?
The following company has beautiful bistro style
furniture made in France but it is very expensive. They sell metal and folding style bistro furniture.

Thank you.

I agree, these chairs are very cheap. Rilsan is very durable and authentic French bistro chairs are handmade and very durable. You will be buying many new chairs if you take the cheap road here. Investigate authentic handmade French cafe chairs. In New York I know there is an importer for them: TK Collections. http://www.tkcollections.com

I went to Rollhous today and they quoted me $295 per crappy bistro chair (not even the chairs with arms!) . . . perhaps this is because I'm carrying my grandmother's Gucci bag . . . I am colossally annoyed.
