Our brother is a guitarist and we're always on the lookout for non-corny guitar related gifts. That's why we were excited when we saw this guitar stand/stool made by Paparwark Furniture, a small-scale furniture design and manufacturing workshop in Shetland, UK.
The piece functions generally as a guitar stand. But when the instrument is removed, the stand can be rotated and used as a stool on which to sit and play the guitar. We love this duality of use and, while we doubt we'll be placing an order across the Atlantic, we have certainly been inspired by this beautiful design and execution.
Brilliant! I've been looking for a guitar stool as all of the chairs in my apartment are uncomfortable for one reason or another. Or I want excuses not to practice. Either way, I like the dual purpose as well and I'm going to look into it.
I love this too, but would rather not go through the trouble of oredering it; can anyone else recommend a beautiful guitar stand? I want to display mine but would like to do it creatively or simply. (it doesn't have to also function as a stool or anything else!)
