Small living doesn't have to mean small furniture. Sometimes, a "room within a room" can give your small space distinct areas. We think this sofa does just that. It's the Alcove sofa by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra.

The back and sides are high (34"), meaning the sofa creates an intimate little alcove. The sides can fold down, providing a horizontal surface adjacent to the seating. This versatility also makes this a nice piece for a small home. And we love the red color: this could make a room all by itself.
It would really help if you would have taken the time to find out the price for item before posting. Without the price the post is just a basic advertisement; not at all informative and a waste of your readers' time that seems to say that AT puts a quota on their posters and that your readers should simply be grateful for the pretty picture.

Also see the ditte sofa at anthropologie...
Same kind of sheltering frame, but not as sleek...more homey-feeling with the wood legs and such. I think it's on sale
