Bricks & Mortar by Richard Woods & Sebastian Wrong

Richard Woods block prints were popularized by Paul Smith and made an appearance on furniture in a collaboration with cabinet maker Sebastian Wrong last year — in their latest collaboration, they've applied Woods' iconic patterns to a collection of upholstered seating for Established & Sons...

The Bricks & Mortar collection includes a single seat chair, a 2-seater sofa and a footstool. You can currently see these in the window of Manhattan's Matter.

Though I love the work that Established & Sons curates, this one is a little too conceptual for an expensive furniture piece. This would be a fun project to mimic using inexpensive IKEA upholstered furniture and some fabric paint!

On a related note, have you seen the Richard Woods installation at City Hall?

When it becomes available commercially, I think it leaves the realm of conceptual.
