Yeah...repost the $600 inflatable sofa, watch heads explode.

I saw inflatable furniture in Amsterdam over 10 years ago. It was somewhat popular with college age kids, but the stuff I saw was much cheaper than this. It also seemed like it was a fad, so I'm surprised to see this.

Besides, the "heavy-duty" vinyl is stll no match for a cat with claws.

AT: Considering reposts have become such an incredibly PERVASIVE problem on the site, maybe you should consider the possibility that you've over expanded to too many cities, too many bloggers. AT was SO MUCH BETTER when it was just the one site, just the one city, just the one small group of editors.

I'm new enough to the site that I haven't seen this posted on here. I've seen it in my daily business life before and every time I have the same thought:

Great for an outdoor party setting. Like a modern Gatsby with those strewn across the lawn instead of actual velvet furniture. That way if they end up in the pool or getting rained on they don't get ruined.

That being said - the potential for popping makes these worth considerably less than $600 to me.

complain schmomplain! I´ve been reading AT for a few months now and haven't seen this before. And so what if something pops up again every now and then? With the amount of new posts every day, there is no way I can read through every single one. Now get back to work, those of you who still have a job ;-)

For those of you who say you're new and haven't seen this post before, it was posted just LAST WEEK.

IMHO something being reposted after a number of months = OK. But posted within a week = NOT OK

AT: maybe you could tell your posters that they are required to read (or at least skim) all posts, period. Or at the very least, do a search of the blog BEFORE they repost an article for the fifth time in a month!

@ Harpa: Thing is, it's not like this happened over the course of a few months. This same exact product was posted four days ago on AT Boston.

Everyone hated this couch last week...we haven't warmed up to it since then!

I agree that when you see something that was posted months ago that it's fine, but apparently they aren't reading their own website's posts from a couple days ago.

I guess my day job has been too busy for me to come onto here as often as I used to, but I never did see this post the first time, nor did I see some other one that got re-posted recently. I do agree that all the city sites should look at each other's work more often, but I was happy to see this post.

Even though it was posted last week. I don't have the time to go through everything everyday, so I don't mind re-posts. I have yet to hit one and if I did, probably reviewed it again for something I could have missed before. There is so much to see on this site. Can we have a little flexibility here?

If there were fewer redundant posts, there would be fewer posts total, thus making it easier to keep up with all the posts on AT.

For those of you commenting that reposts are fine because there's so much posted to the site that it's easy to not see it all the first time around, if there weren't so many reposts, there wouldn't be SO MUCH posted in the first place.
As it is, the overabundance of reposts are making perusing AT a waste of my time.

I can see that everyone doesn't have the time to go through all the posts on all the cities' sites, but if I'm not mistaken, BOTH inflatables stories were featured on the main page on their respective days. Not only are the city bloggers not reading the other cities, but the MAIN editors aren't reading their own stuff!

Methinks AT could use some clutter-busting.

Reposts should be about something good. I look around at other sites and see things and wonder why I see this $hitty plastic sofa here again instead of something worth a look at even the first time. Heaven knows there will be a second and a third time.

AT, I LOVE how you post the SAME UGLY THINGS over and over again. If I hadn't seen it last week, I might have forgotten about how I'll NEVER want to buy one of these.
