1 - 3 The Baker sofa is built from upholstered pieces mounted to a walnut or teak frame. Originally designed for Baker Furniture in 1951. On the original plans for the Baker sofa, Finn Juhl wrote: "This sofa tries to solve different problems. Good support for the small of your back in normal position, relaxed position with your feet up in both corners, and even then rest for your elbows, as well as for your head — this effectuated by the dividing up of the back in two parts — good rest!"
4 - 5 The Wall sofa is unique in that it is asymmetrical and designed to be mounted to a wall for support. It was designed in 1950 for The Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum— Norway's National Museum of Decorative Arts in Trondheim, Norway.

Wow - I'm not too fond of the one on the metal base, but the freestanding unit w/ the wood base is stunning!

I love Baker sofa pictured. Can someone post the price range?

this is sexy without being trashy... (like the lips sofa or its cousin the Ravioli chair) lol. It looks tailored and expensive... which makes me both happy and sad. lol

No thanks.

It's amazing the difference the legs make. I LOVE the wooden one, but the metal one looks like some sort of airline or car seat, and not in a good way.

I love the look of the Baker sofa but I can't imagine it would accommodate my customary horizontal napping-in-front-of-tv practice. My uncelebrated, boxy '90s sofa may be homely but it's great for snoozing.

man, the sage one on the wooden base is a stunner. the use of two colors really makes it. (the metal base one, not so much.)

I was absolutely swooning over the wooden one when I saw it on the Contemporist yesterday. I'm not sure if it's practical or comfortable, but it sure is pretty.

Sigh. Add this to my "if I ever when lotto" wish list.

Beautiful! But it wouldn't work as well if it weren't in the two tones of fabric. The different colors really ad something to the design.

Does the $15K price include automatic transmission, sunroof and Sirius satellite radio?
