This reminds me of that cute what's-his-face designer in the most recent issue of Domino, who put his bed smack-dab in the middle of his studio and made it an attractive place for guests to sit. This would take that idea to the next level - if I saw this in someone's pad, I wouldn't feel like I was violating their personal area if I sat here!

As long as the corners of the mattress covers are as sharply tucked as they are on the photograph, it'd be okay. But the headache of making the bed from scratch most nights? Not sure about that...
