0715_pottery_barn.jpg

This fall forecast of graphic print occasional chairs from Pottery Barn tickled our fancy. The photo's mix of prints and colors is an exciting prospect - the mix just pops in that stark white room...

To single out the featured chairs, the lineup is:

the Brooks Slipcovered armless chair covered in Serafina Floral.

the Madison Armchair in Green Ogee.

I think they're hideous. Too clunky. Those textile choices are pedestrian.

The fabric on the Serafina chair is an awkward knock-off of a Josef Frank textile design. Just speaking for myself, I'd rather go to Anthropologie where they use the original designs on some of their upholstered pieces.

All very good points.

It would behoove Pottery Barn to partner with a noteable or up and coming designer to improve their furnishing and textile offerings.

I am with you paint it bright. I thiought it was a shameless knockoff... and did you see the description of taking direction from Josef Frank (without mentioning his name). It is funny this is featured, I just got my PB catalog and was going to email this in to AT.

I think the first fabric is a shameless Josef Frank rip off. I hope they sue them.
