The new Womb Chair? We got excited when we spied this lounge chair by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Produced by Vitra, the Slow Chair was designed to be a modern homage to Eero Saarinen's classic Womb chair from 1948. Extremely lightweight, the Slow Chair is made of a knitted cover stretched over an aluminum frame...

Wow! That is sweet! If only I could afford it...

Nice - but costs as much as the original from Knoll...
(which has broader arms - surely to be more comforable)
...might as well get the real thing.

Has it been cat-tested yet? Or is it simply a $3,000 single-use chair?
I am very fond of the colors. Could do a room around those colors!

Well, it's certainly a lot better looking than the Saarinen chair. I might be willing to have it in my house. If it were two orders of magnitude cheaper.

Just chop off that last decimal.

It's uncomfortable.

The Womb Chair is hands down the most comfortable chair in the world (in my opinion), and a knock off for "everyman" is wonderful! Except, give me a break, $3,000.00? I'd save for the real thing!
I'll wait for the IKEA version.

While it looks nice, I don't know if I could justify a chair that's priced a bit higher than 3 months of rent. Add 1.5 months for the ottoman.
Don't get me wrong, it looks very nice. Sort of.
Still, if I were to order this chair from Unica it would have to be paired with an order of chocolate beef jerky from the 'edible design' section.
