Small and comfy. Smaller scale armchairs are hard to find, so when we spotted this one (29" x 32") on the cover of Tucker Robbins catalog we went into search mode. Turns out the photo was taken at Sylvester & Co. out in Amagansett, but the chair is a straight ahead Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams design: The Elliot Chair.
If you look at the pic on MGBW's website it won't impress you, and MGBW might increase their sales substantially if they did a better job of styling their product. The version up above comes in a light wood finish and a linen/cotton fabric for @ $1500. We sat tested the chair, and it was super comfy. Good choice! I've been a fan of this chair for a while and look forward to picking up a pair (or 2) for my living room, sooner rather than later. I think they can be had for under $1500, depending on fabric. My local MGBW retailer has decent sales one or twice a year and this post has reminded me to stop by and have another look. Thanks for the nudge.
